Guitar Center offers 30 Days Free Returns on eligible items. Please review the guidelines below before sending any return, and contact customer service first so we can provide the correct return instructions and return details.

30-Day Return Window

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery under our 30 Days Free Returns service.

Customers must contact customer service before sending any return. Returns sent without contacting customer service first may not be accepted.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, the item must be returned within the 30-day return window and must meet the condition requirements for the product.

  • The item should be unused or gently inspected only.
  • The item should be in its original condition.
  • All included parts, accessories, manuals, tags and packaging should be returned when applicable.
  • The item must not be damaged, altered, modified or missing required components after delivery.
  • Proof of purchase or order information may be required to review the request.

Item Condition

Returned items are reviewed after they arrive. Items that show signs of use beyond normal inspection, damage after delivery, missing parts or packaging, or product alteration may not qualify for a refund.

Non-Returnable Items

Some items may not be eligible for return. Non-returnable items may include:

  • Final sale items, when clearly marked as final sale.
  • Gift cards or store credit products.
  • Personalized, customized or made-to-order items.
  • Items that are damaged, altered or incomplete after delivery.
  • Items missing original accessories, serial tags, manuals, packaging or required components.
  • Products that cannot be returned for hygiene, safety or product-integrity reasons once opened or used.

How to Start a Return

  • Include your order number, if available.
  • Use the email address connected to your order.
  • Tell us which item you would like to return.
  • Briefly explain the reason for the return.
  • Attach photos if the item arrived damaged, incorrect or incomplete.

Do not send your item back before receiving return instructions from customer service.

Return Shipping Cost

Eligible returns are covered under our 30 Days Free Returns service when customers contact customer service first and follow the return instructions provided.

Returns sent without approval or through a different return method may not be accepted or may not qualify for free return handling.

Refund Process

After your returned item is received and inspected, approved refunds are processed within 3–15 days. The time it takes for funds to appear may vary depending on the payment method or financial institution.

If a return does not meet the eligibility or condition requirements, customer service will contact you with the next available options.

Exchanges

Damaged, Wrong or Incomplete Items

Final Sale Rules
