The bowls of these pieces are Adams copper bowls which are press formed to maintain even thickness throughout the kettle. The heads of this piece are Remo Custom Series Timpani heads with insert rings. These are the best quality plastic heads available today. A strong and firm, contoured steel ring suspends the kettle and maintains roundness and ensuews stablility during transport. Mounted on the exterior of the kettle is the tension mechanism. This placement allows maximum unobstructed tonal quality. These timpanis function on a pedal system that is a specially designed spring mechanism. This method assures pedal position at any setting. Furthermore, these instruments also include tuning gauges and an adjustable timpani angle that allows the ability to place the timpani in a slanted playing position.
