Revoiced Channels Offer Boutique-Level Tone

When developing the MkII, Blackstar's engineers benchmarked high-end vintage and boutique valve amps to improve on their already popular tones. The result is a clean channel with unmatched purity and flexibility and an overdrive channel with richer, more complex saturation. The overdrive channel offers everything from warm, mid-focused crunch to tight, high-gain leads. Each channel features its own footswitchable Voice switch to access different tonal characteristics.

Infinite Shape Feature Provides Massive Tonal Variety

Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) gives the MkII a seemingly endless range of tones. The ISF control shifts the EQ curve of the amp's Bass, Middle and Treble controls. Fully counterclockwise, the amp takes on an aggressive American voice with tight lows and mids. Fully clockwise, the tone becomes more British with an open, airy quality. The overdrive channel offers two modes in each ISF position—"classic crunch" and "super saturated lead"—for a total of four footswitchable overdrive voices.
