At the heart of the BR-40T's sound is a hand-selected solid Sitka spruce top. With a tight, straight grain, Sitka spruce emphasizes clarity and articulation. The scalloped bracing allows the spruce top to freely vibrate, resulting in a crisp tone with shimmering highs.
Mahogany Back and Sides
Mahogany, a traditional tonewood for acoustic instruments, provides the back and sides of the BR-40T. Mahogany balances resonance and warmth, reinforcing the Sitka spruce top with a robust low end and sustain. The all-wood construction gives this tenor guitar an inherently musical tonality.
