The 5150III's flexible preamp features three independent channels: a sparkling clean channel, a crunch channel for classic rock tones, and a searing lead channel for high-gain mayhem. Shape your sound further with presence and resonance controls, as well as a footswitchable boost on the lead channel.
Pristine Cleans to Molten Overdrive
Dial in chimey cleans, bluesy crunch, or blistering overdrive at the turn of a knob. The 5150III's clean channel produces shimmering tones with articulate note definition. Switch to the crunch channel to conjure up classic rock riffs and power chords. When it's time to unleash the fury, the lead channel erupts with aggressive overdrive and sustain for days. A boost control on this channel kicks everything into overdrive for a high-gain assault.
Built to Last
Road-tested and ready to rock, the 5150III is built to withstand the rigors of the road. Its all-tube design and premium components promise years of top performance. The 5150III pumps 100 watts of power through a quartet of 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of 6L6GC power tubes. It's housed in a rugged steel chassis with an EVH-approved ivory vinyl covering and black control panel.
