The Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic gives you a vintage-inspired tone machine with modern playability. Handcrafted in the U.S. by Fender's master builders, this Stratocaster relic replicates a well-worn '57 model that's ready to inspire. The heavy relic treatment ages the ash body and one-piece maple neck to match a guitar that's seen decades of use, while nitrocellulose lacquer preserves the tone. Three hand-wound Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil pickups deliver the crisp, articulate tone that made the Stratocaster famous.
Aged to Perfection
The heavy relic treatment gives this Stratocaster a worn and weathered appearance like an old favorite that's spent years on the road. The ash body shows nicks, dings, worn finish and rust, while the one-piece maple neck has a comfortably worn feel. Aged hardware and electronics complete the vintage vibe. Yet underneath, it's built with the finest components and Fender's renowned dedication to detail. This Stratocaster may look old, but it plays like a dream.
Classic Tone, Modern Playability
Three Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil pickups provide classic Stratocaster tone with full, balanced output. Positions 2 and 4 feature an out-of-phase middle pickup for quacky funk tones. A 5-way selector switch lets you access a variety of pickup combinations. The 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets make this relic Stratocaster effortlessly playable.
Premium Components and Craftsmanship
Like the original models, this Stratocaster uses premium components for outstanding tone and feel. The synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles adds shimmer and expression. Vintage-style tuners keep it perfectly tuned. The bone nut and 1.650" nut width feel familiar under your fingers. Fender went to great lengths to recreate a vintage classic in exacting detail.
