To authentically recreate the sound of an original 1962 Stratocaster, the Custom Shop team loaded the Heavy Relic with a trio of hand-wound '60/'63 single-coil pickups. The RWRP middle pickup provides those signature glassy, sparkling tones, while the bridge and neck pickups deliver the warmth and punch that defined the Strat's voice in its early years. With the full 5-way pickup selector at your disposal, you'll have access to the complete vintage Strat palette.
Vintage Appointments for Authentic Feel and Performance
Authentic vintage details abound on the '62 Strat Heavy Relic. The vintage-style synchronized tremolo features a period-correct design and feel, along with a slick bone nut for enhanced sustain and tuning stability.
