The limited-edition Player Stratocaster HSS delivers the inspiring sound of a classic Fender with a bell-like high-end, punch mids and a robust low end, combined with stellar articulation. This Player Strat is constructed with a gloss-finish solid alder body paired to maple neck with a pau ferro fingerboard and equipped with Fender Player Series Stratocaster pickups in an HSS configuration. Built for Comfort
The 22-fret pau ferro fingerboard includes a 9.5" radius for comfortable playability and easy string bends. Plus, a "Modern C"-shaped neck profile makes the limited-edition Player Stratocaster HSS suited for practically any playing style, as well as beginners. Plus, an additional fret on the neck extends the instrument’s musical range.
HSS Configuration
The two expressive Fender Fat '50s Strat single-coil pickups are made with hand-beveled, staggered Alnico V magnets and Formvar magnet wire. With the added muscle of a humbucking pickup, you can go from bright and glassy single-coil tones to heavyweight crunch and growl with ease. Along with 5-way switching, this design delivers an enhanced bass response without a harsh midrange, giving you a more robust range of sounds to select from.
Additional Appointments
This Player Stratocaster features a two-point tremolo bridge for smooth whammy action and exciting dive bombs. Chrome die-cast tuners provide reliable stability, and an "F"-stamped neck plate adds a touch of Fender class. To top it all off, a dedicated tone control was added for the bridge pickup, providing more control over your sound in pickup positions one and two.
