The Ibanez GSR200 4-String Electric Bass is a hot little bass for a very friendly price. The GSR200 features a poplar body, super comfy one piece maple neck, jatoba fretboard, white dot inlay, split-coil and single-coil pickup array, active EQ with PHAT II Bass Boost, chrome hardware, a fully adjustable bridge and medium frets.
Split Coil and Single Coil Pickups Achieve a Wide Range of Classic Tones
The GSR200's pickup combination of a split coil J-style pickup at the neck and a single-coil P-style pickup at the bridge allows for a variety of traditional bass tones. Roll off the neck pickup for a punchy, defined bridge pickup tone, blend in the neck pickup for a balanced and versatile sound or select the neck pickup alone for a deep, warm tone.
PHAT II EQ Provides Active Tone Control
Shape your tone with the onboard PHAT II EQ, featuring bass, mid, treble and volume controls. The PHAT II EQ employs Ibanez's proprietary active circuitry to provide up to +6dB of boost, allowing you to achieve tones from a subtle vintage inspired warmth to an aggressive slap tone.
Comfortable Playability and Construction
Weighing in at just 9.48 lb., the GSR200's lightweight poplar body is comfortable for extended playing and reduces fatigue. Its deep cutaway allows easy access to higher frets, while the 12" radius jatoba fretboard and medium frets also enhance playability. A bolt-on maple neck provides stability and powerful sustain.
