Shipping & Return

The Maestro Ranger Overdrive guitar pedal simulates the sound of a tube amp pushed to the limit. It marks the return of a legendary brand founded in 1962 as a division of Gibson. Thanks to a warm analog circuit, the Ranger delivers a rich drive authentic to that era. But it also keeps up in contemporary contexts. Available now at Guitar Center, this Maestro overdrive pedal might just become a must-have in your home or touring rig.

Maestro Ranger Overdrive

The Maestro Ranger Overdrive pedal is easy to use—and powerful

You won't need a deep dive into the Maestro manual to start making music with the Ranger. It has an intuitive 3-knob layout. Gain controls the amount of overdrive. Rotate the Tone control clockwise to introduce more treble frequencies, or bring it back to enhance the bottom. Level balances the drive between the wet and dry signals.

Maestro Ranger Overdrive Mod Switch

The Ranger Overdrive is two pedals in one

Flip the center switch to Hi to accent the top end. It blends in more of your clean signal for a dynamic, pick-sensitive drive. Dig in harder to fire it up, or lay back for a subtle simmer. When the toggle is down, the Ranger summons more organic, saturated sounds. It doesn’t matter whether you play through tubes or a solid-state amp—this Maestro pedal is completely musical.

Maestro Ranger Overdrive True Bypass

This overdrive pedal keeps your signal clean

The Ranger Overdrive has a true-bypass switch that doesn't make a sound when you stomp it off and on. Three LEDs light up the Maestro logo when the distortion is engaged, a handy feature on a dark stage. To turn the pedal off completely, just unplug the input. The Maestro Overdrive runs on a 9V battery, or an optional 9–12V power supply. For maximum headroom, we strongly recommend using either a 12V output from your pedalboard supply or a dedicated 12V adapter.
