Sporting a Martin High Performance Taper profile, the CFMIV 50th Anniversary D-50's mahogany neck features an ebony fretboard adorned with an intricate abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay that extends all the way through the headstock. The rambling vines are executed with precision artistry and a level of detail worthy of an ultraclassy limited-edition dreadnought. Additional decorative splashes of abalone and mother of pearl are woven into the instrument throughout, including in its rosette, in a stripe that runs the length of the body’s back, on the bridge and on the pickguard.
