Constructed of hand-layered fiberglass, this Pearl djembe is designed for years of professional use in all climates. Shell dimensions are unique so that the narrow throat and deep bowl enhance bass tones. Contour crowns have extended collars to improve resonance while the rounded edges improve playing comfort. Exclusive self-centering lug nuts keep tension hooks centrally aligned for improved tension.
The bongo-style bottom ring allows for extremely high tension without the fear of cracking unlike cast bottom rings. The polished steel hardware is distinctive and functional. The rubber base ring protects the bottom of the djembe's shell and eliminates "buzz" caused by metal rings. 14" Goat skin heads are super thin for sizzling slaps and deep bass.
