Dual XLR/TRS Combo Inputs With Phantom Power
The DR-40X features two balanced Dual Neutrik XLR/TRS combo jacks to connect external microphones or line level sources. The 48V phantom power accommodates condenser microphones. Whether recording vocals, acoustic instruments or ambient sound on location, the DR-40X delivers clean, detailed audio with plenty of headroom.
Built-In Adjustable Condenser Microphones
In addition to external inputs, the DR-40X offers a pair of built in condenser microphones for capturing stereo recordings on the go. The microphones are adjustable, allowing an X/Y stereo image or a more ambient A/B pattern. For filmmakers and videographers, the DR-40X's microphones pick up nuanced audio to match high definition footage.
High Resolution Recording and USB Audio Interface
The DR-40X captures uncompressed WAV files up to 24-bit/96kHz, as well as MP3 formats for longer recording times. It doubles as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface for live streaming, podcasting and DAW recording using the built in microphones or external inputs. Powered by two AA batteries, the DR-40X can operate for up to 17.5 hours.
