32-Bit Float Recording Captures Every Nuance
The FR-AV2's 32-bit float recording, up to 192kHz, provides an expansive dynamic range to capture every sonic detail. You'll never have to discard a take due to clipping or noise. The FR-AV2's dual AD converters and Ultra HDDA mic preamps, with an EIN of -127dBu, ensure your recordings have clarity, depth and ultralow noise.
Versatile Connectivity for Any Source
The FR-AV2 provides two combo inputs to connect mics, wireless systems or line-level devices. A 3.5 mm input supports microphones and the included plug-in power supplies 2.5V or 5V to condenser mics. Outputs include a 3.5 mm headphone jack to monitor recording or playback and camera in/out to send audio to your camera and return video. The FR-AV2 also functions as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface supporting 32-bit float for Mac, Windows and iOS devices.
Precision Timecode Sync
The FR-AV2 generates, reads and jams timecode via 3.5 mm in/out, allowing seamless sync with DSLR and video cameras. It features a high-accuracy temperature-compensated crystal oscillator for stable timecode even in extreme environments. The FR-AV2 transforms your mobile videos into professional productions by sending timecode to your phone via USB-C.
Intuitive Control and Safety Features
The FR-AV2's 2" color LCD provides an intuitive interface to adjust settings, monitor levels or review recordings. It offers input processing like low-cut filter, compressor, limiter and noise gate. The unique auto file save feature saves data every 20 seconds to prevent loss in case of power failure. Power the FR-AV2 with three AA batteries or a USB power source.
