Part of Yamaha's intermediate-level A-Series acoustic-electric guitars, the ACR Concert Cutaway acoustic-electric features a stunning, fresh-looking, all-rosewood body and hand-selected solid Sitka spruce A.R.E. top paired with Yamaha's flagship System 63 Modeling Preamp and SRT2 (Studio Response Technology) undersaddle pickup. The AC3R's concert-sized cutaway design and neck profile offer amazing playability for the modern player requiring a reliable workhorse that'll look, feel and sound amazing in all settings for years to come. The System 63 gives you a ton of ways to shape your tone, with low, mid and high knobs, three microphone models with blend, a focus/wide switch to control mic proximity, AFR feedback reduction, and even a resonance knob. Other appointments on this performance-level "bang-for-your-buck" guitar include a 3-ply mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, urea nut and saddle, mahogany and cream binding, a tortoise pattern pickguard, and black ABS with white dot bridge pins.
If you're not familiar with the SRT2 system, it was developed independently by Yamaha, and optimized for stage performance. From a piezo sound that cut through when in a mix to a warm, pure acoustic sound that is like recorded by using the vintage microphone in the recording studio, SRT2 allows you to reproduce a sound that you can really use on stage. With SRT2 you can mix these two sounds to attain the exact balance you want to achieve a distinctive tone. The mics used are a Neumann U67 and KM56 as well as a Royer R122.
Ships with a hard bag.
