A potent Class-D amplifier drives the 2.5" voice coil magnet and 15" woofer for tight, accurate bass with exceptional clarity and up to 135dB SPL. Crossover switching allows you to seamlessly match the DXS15mkII with any of Yamaha’s full-range powered speakers by selecting the cutoff frequency best suited to the models in their speaker array. Yamaha’s state-of-the-art DSP processing and protection functions mean the DXS15mkII performs at its peak under the most demanding conditions.
A unique feature of the DXS15mkII is its cardioid mode setting for PA setups with two or more matching subwoofers. Selecting cardioid mode function effectively decreases stage-side sound pressure while increasing the bottom-end output directed towards the audience. The result is a clearer onstage monitoring environment and a more pronounced bass experience out front.
